President Museveni has vowed to call a special security meeting to handle cases of insecurity being registered in Lango.
The president who was attending
the Thanksgiving ceremony of Mp Paul Amoru Omiat, the Dokolo North MP, at Adwoke Technical College in Dokolo District on Saturday noted the concern from the district’s LC5 chairperson Frederick Odongo who hinted that insecurity was creeping back to the region.
“I am going to call a special security meeting for Lango sub-region following the report of the LC5 chairman that insecurity is creeping back.”- The president said.
Mr. Museveni also wondered why some people are saying the NRM is bad, yet it fought against insecurity.
“In Lango here, there was a man called Ojuku who was killing people. We fought him. But you would still find people saying the NRM was bad. We stopped Kony, Lakwena, cattle rustlers and others but you still find liars saying the NRM is bad.”- He said.
The president also promised to bring electricity to areas not having it in the district.
“About some areas of Dokolo lacking electricity because they are sorrounded by swamps, we shall resolve that. There are poles meant for swamps. I am glad Hon Amoru invited me and I have discovered this. You will surely get electricity.”- He said.
Museveni also promised to give Dokolo Youth Sacco Shs20 million and offer 20,000 hoes to the farmers. He also said government will also fix Amodo Bridge.
