3 Students Held For Forging Bankslips

Three students of Treasure Primary Teachers College-Lira are currently being held by police in Lira for allegedly forging KCB bank slips purported to be payment for school fees. They include: Isaac Obong, Emma Ebong and Benson Tabu.

David Ongom Mudong the North Kioga Region police spokesperson says upon interrogation, the three suspects revealed that they pay less of their school fees and later insert figures into the bank slip to meet the expected fees structure.
Mudong adds that no charge has yet been preferred against the suspects as the school is yet to submit a fraud report and evidence to the police.

Mudong also advised parents and students to be vigilant as they pay school fees, saying fraudsters are currently targeting them during this time that people are reporting to school.
