The Dokolo North MP, Paul Amoru Omiat on Wednesday sped off from a consultative meeting over the age limit bill for fear of being attacked.
Residents in Agwata sub county, Dokolo district made their Mp turn suspicious of ill motives against him after they silently reacted to the persuasion by the Mp to support the Age Limit limit bill.
Mp Amoru reportedly heaped praises on Museveni saying the president should be allowed to rule again for the citizens to continue enjoying his good deeds. As he marketed the bill, he also said the proposed amendment is seeking to allow the youths take up not only presidential but district LC5 posts. He also blamed his fellow Mps who do not support the bill for misinforming people.
His suspicion of ill intentions by the locals came alive when he asked the people in his audience to lift up their hands to show that they are in support of the age limit bill. The people silently looked at the Mp without making any movements. After repeatedly calling the people to lift up their hands with them not complying, Amoru jumped off the podium and swiftly entered his car leaving behind money to be distributed before speeding off.
