Two people who were on Monday shot and injured in a scuffle in Pabbo, Amuru district as the police were trying to calm down an irate mob have been identified. Emmy Okello and Job Okema got injured in an incident when a group of youths had gone to Pabbo Police post demanding for the release of suspects picked up in connection to the smashing of the windscreen of a Zawadi bus registration number UAU 393B going to Adjumani district on Monday afternoon.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the police spokesperson for Aswa region blamed the incidence on Amuru legislatores who he accused of inciting violence. Okema wonders why Mps who are supposed to make laws are the ones breaking them. Meanwhile Gilbert Olanya, the Kilak South Member of Parliament has denied inciting residents to cause violence.
